The foremost gospel choir in the world that sings essentially traditional gospel music is the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir (MJGC) (see the background picture). The choir is founded and directed by Prof Trevor W. Payne. In later years, a group of singers in the choir have formed a new constellation “Revelation III”; also directed by Prof Payne. I have had the opportunity to attend a number of the choir’s annual Celebration Concerts in Montreal in December each year (usually the weekend closest to 10 December). These are really GREAT events -- go there!.
